Summary:
As you can see from the charts below, the number of homes sold is leveling off
from the summer highs. This trend is typical and we could see lower number of
closings during the holiday months.
The positive news is we are starting to see an increase in the value of homes sold. This is a welcome sight as we may have hit bottom in the real estate slide and are now slowly starting to rise again. Don't expect to see home prices increase at the rates we saw in the early 2000's. The economic climate is much different now and mortgage companies have tightened their belts when it comes to lending out money.
